Dear Parishioners and Friends,

It is with great rejoicing that the Corpus Christi Music Minsitry, will be embarking on a Choir Pilgrimage to Rome, November 30 - December 8, 2012. The Choir has accepted an invitation to be the principal Choir singing at the 5:00 pm Solemn Mass at the Altar of the Chair in Saint Peter’s Basilica on Tuesday, December 4, 2012. We embrace the opportunity of serving in this role of musical leadership at the Vatican with a sense of honor, humility and great gladness. Our choir will also present a liturgical concert at St. Ignatius Church in Rome on Sunday, December 2. This performance is one in a series of professionally organized concerts, enjoyed by an audience of over one thousand. We also will celebrate Mass with song at the Basilica of St. Francis in Assisi as well as have the opportunity to sing for the Holy Father during his weekly general audience.
 
We hope that you will choose to be a part of this sacred pilgrimage as an accompanying pilgrim. You do not have to be a member of the music ministry to come with us…you can come as a fellow pilgrim and have the unique opportunity of experiencing all the privileges offered to the music ministry.

Besides offering us unique liturgical and musical opportunities, this pilgrimage will take us to the sacred sites of our Christian faith, including the Sistine Chapel, and the basilicas of Christian Rome. We will also take in the historic venues of ancient Rome, including the Roman Forum. Visiting Assisi and Florence will certainly round out what promises to be a spiritually rewarding and altogether unforgettable experience.

Please join us as we retrace the steps of Peter and Paul, the ancient Romans, the Popes of history, and the throngs of others who have come to see and pray in the Eternal City.
